 Home-and-away series against the Dodgers in a 2017 World Series rematch highlights the Astros’ 2020 regular-season schedule, which will begin on July 24 at Minute Maid Park against the Mariners at 8:10 p.m. CT on MLB Network. The Astros, the defending American League champions who beat the Dodgers in seven games to win the 2017 World Series, will begin the season with six games at home — four against the Mariners (July 24-27) and two against the Dodgers (July 28-29). They will play at Dodger Stadium on Sept. 12-13. The 2020 regular season, which has been delayed four months because of the coronavirus pandemic, will see the Astros play 40 games against AL West opponents and 20 games against National League West opponents. Houston will finish the regular season with a seven-game road trip to Seattle and Texas, with the Rangers playing host to the Astros at brand-new Globe Life Park from Sept. 24-27 to end the season. |

Número récord de votantes que votaron por correo antes de las elecciones primarias de segunda vuelta del 14 de julio de 2020

(Houston, TX) –– A medida que se inicia la última semana del período de votación temprana para las elecciones primarias de segunda vuelta de julio de 2020, la Oficina del Secretario del Condado Harris informa un número récord de votos por correo para una primaria de segunda vuelta. What is the danger? Tropical Storm Edouard is the fifth named storm of 2020, but poses no threat to Texas. The storm is currently moving into the open Atlantic off the eastern coast of the United States and is expected to dissipate later today or tomorrow.
What you should do: While Tropical Storm Edouard will not impact Texas, we have not reached the peak of Hurricane Season.

After graduating from Chavez High School, Vanessa enlisted in the army to protect and serve our nation. | HOUSTON – The Houston Health Department and its agency partners are announcing the schedule for sites offering free COVID-19 tests the week of July 6, 2020. Texas Division of Emergency Management The Texas Division of Emergency Management and the department will open four drive-thru testing sites, Monday through Saturday:Eden Event Center, 7450 N. Wayside Dr.,NRG Park, Green Lot, 1 Reliant Park.,HCC – Northeast Campus, 555 Community College Dr., andHCC – South Campus, 1990 Airport Blvd.TDEM and the department will also operate a site at the Merfish Teen Center, 9000 S Rice Ave, Sunday through Saturday. TDEM sites require appointments, available by visiting txcovidtest.org. United Memorial Medical Center United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC) will continue its weekday testing at a drive-thru and walk-up test site at the Southwest Multi-Service Center, 6400 High Star. The site doesn’t require appointments and offers testing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until reaching its daily capacity of 250 tests.
