Oral History Survey
Design for America (DFA) is a nationwide network of interdisciplinary student teams and community members using design to create local and social impact. They teach human- centered design to young adults and collaborating community partners through extra- curricular, university-based, student-led design studios tackling national challenges in the areas of education, health, economy and the environment. DFAers represent diverse academic fields such as engineering, design, psychology, and economics. DFA believes that all students have the capacity to use design to innovate the world around them and DFA is a platform to do so.
The Rice DFA students use human-centered design for equity, inclusion, and sustainability in Houston. They are students creating local and social impact and shape the next generation of social innovators.
MECA is collaborating with Rice University DFA students for an oral history survey. This survey will provide insight into important history and voices in our community.
