With temperatures soaring, Houston summer fun is all about staying cool! From yummy happy hours, lots of activities year the water, and tasty treats, we’ve picked out a fun mix of activities for your weekend!

  • Ice Fest at Houston Zoo – Bring your family out to see ice carving artists carving large animal pieces and be ready to take fun photo ops with a fun ice throne and animal sculptures. Only on Saturday, July 13th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • FOMO Factory – The FOMO Factory will host an immersive exhibit filled with fantastical sets from iconic childhood moments. Visitors will shed their identity at the door as they shake off their worries and choose their new silly nickname before entering a fantastical world featuring 17 immersive rooms.
  • Candytopia – Explore the sprawling sanctuary of confectionary bliss, tastefully curated by Hollywood Candy Queen Jackie Sorkin, realized by master fabricator Zac Hartog, and brought to life by life-long retailer, John Goodman. This four-month interactive art installation celebrates the vibrant colors and flavors of our favorite sugary delights across over a dozen environments, from flying unicorn pigs to a marshmallow tsunami. Bring your family, your friends, and your sweet tooth for an experience like none other!
  • Disney’s Aladdin at Hobby Center – Adapted from the Academy Award®-winning animated Disney film, Aladdin is brought to fresh theatrical life in this bold new musical. Tickets start at $35.
  • Lone Star Bash at Minute Maid Park – Now in its fifth year, the Lone Star Bash brings together top chefs from around the state to celebrate and support the future of the restaurant industry. Attendees will enjoy chef-prepared tasting bites, live music, as well as beer, wine, and signature cocktails. This year’s lineup includes chefs Jessica Paul and Ricardo Molina of Molina’s Cantina, Carlos Ramos of Latin Bites, Colin Shine of Frank’s Americana Revival and more.
