A Virginia man has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder after allegedly killing his wife and another man in a deadly domestic dispute.
Deadly Confrontation in Ridgeway
Police say 30-year-old Joshua Corbett Coleman shot and killed his 22-year-old wife, Mandy Coleman, during an argument about infidelity. The incident occurred in Ridgeway, Virginia, where Mandy lived with their two young children. Her body was found at the home with a fatal gunshot wound.
Second Victim Shot in the Street
Authorities responded to a separate report of a man shot in the road nearby. The victim, identified as 68-year-old William Leroy Morey, was pronounced dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Coleman reportedly told police he went looking for Morey to kill him because he “knew he was going to jail.”
Children Found Safe in Suspect’s Vehicle
Police arrested Coleman during a traffic stop around 2:40 p.m. and found the children inside his vehicle unharmed. He was reportedly armed with both a handgun and an AR-15 rifle at the time of the arrest.
Confession and Charges
According to a criminal complaint, Coleman admitted to both killings. He now faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony, child abuse, and shooting from an occupied vehicle. He is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
Community Shocked by Violence
Sheriff Wayne Davis called the incident “heartbreaking and tragic,” adding that the community is deeply affected. A $2,500 reward is being offered for information related to the crime as the investigation continues.
