FEATURED ART EXHIBITS – MECA @ TBH CENTER
En tus ojos m_os.png
En tus ojos míos – a solo show by Nerissa Gomez.

Gomez’s work centers around female empowerment and showcasing her subject’s inner strength and resilience, with the hope that her work reflects and supports the conquering of emotional pain. Fine lines and meticulous detail embody Gomez’s technique. Her pieces can be playful, but typically the tone is serious, generally focusing on the grit and determination of the female subject. She plays with color to bring attention to specific elements and to create a mood or narrative. Her art has served and continues to work as a metamorphic medium.

On view from Friday, March 4th – Friday, April 1st.

Opening reception, Saturday, March 12th, 6-9 pm.

FEATURED ART EXHIBITS – MECA @ DOW SCHOOL
Feb Dow Exhibit _1_.png
Mandy Peyrani: Mandy Peyrani is a lover, mother, teacher, artist, and photographer who is enthusiastic about her journey and her place in this world. Through her personal art and teaching, Peyrani hopes to move us all beyond our personal comforts to risk using our creative gifts to become the positive change we wish to see in the world, and ironically in doing so, change ourselves in the process.

Viri Ramos: Her paintings are filled with life and fun. They are happy and playful, at times serious, but mostly not at all. She favors rough strokes and bold colors. When possible, she brings her son along and collaborates on pieces together. He is her main drive to paint without judgment. She loves watching his creativity at work and having him know that what he makes and his ideas are valued and needed.

On view from Friday, March 4th – Friday, April 1st.
