Shell Energy Stadium will serve as a vote center for the Nov. 3 general and special elections. The East Downtown venue will welcome registered Harris County voters from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The stadium is home to Houston Dynamo FC and the Houston Dash. Election Day voting will take place inside the Jameson Club.

Any registered Harris County voter may cast a ballot at the stadium. Voters do not need to live in the stadium’s surrounding precinct.

Shell Energy Stadium Vote Center Hours and Location

The Shell Energy Stadium vote center will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls will remain open until 7 p.m. CT.

The stadium is located at 2200 Texas Ave., Houston, TX 77003. Voting will take place in the Jameson Club on the venue’s west side.

Free parking for voters will be available in Blue Lot 1. Voters can enter the polling location through the neighboring Jameson Club entrance.

Curbside voting will also be available in Blue Lot 1. This service assists voters who cannot physically enter the polling place without needing personal assistance or risking their health.

“Shell Energy Stadium is a gathering place for Houston, and opening our doors for voting is another way we can serve our community,” said Houston Dynamo Football Club President of Business Operations Jessica O’Neill.

“We are proud to welcome Harris County voters to our home and encourage our neighbors to participate in this election,” O’Neill added.

Harris County Voters Can Use Any Vote Center

Registered Harris County voters may cast ballots at any county vote center on Election Day. The countywide voting system allows voters to choose a convenient location, regardless of their home precinct.

That means registered voters from across Harris County can use Shell Energy Stadium. The same Election Day hours apply at county vote centers, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters who are in line by 7 p.m. are permitted to remain in line and cast a ballot.

Registration status, sample ballots and a complete list of voting locations are available at HarrisVotes.com. Election information is also available by calling 713-755-6965.

METRORail Provides Access to Stadium

Public transportation offers another option for reaching the stadium. The METRORail Green and Purple Lines both stop at EaDo/Stadium Station.

The station sits next to Shell Energy Stadium, providing direct access from downtown and other rail connections. Voters should review current METRO schedules before traveling.

The stadium’s East Downtown location also places the vote center near several major roads. Election officials recommend allowing enough time for traffic, parking and check-in.

Identification Requirements for Voting

Texas voters should bring an acceptable form of photo identification. Approved options include a Texas driver license, Texas personal identification card and U.S. passport.

Other accepted forms include a Texas election identification certificate, handgun license, U.S. military identification card or citizenship certificate with a photograph.

A voter who does not possess and cannot reasonably obtain an approved photo ID may have another option. The voter can present an approved supporting document and complete a Reasonable Impediment Declaration.

Supporting documents and available exceptions are explained at HarrisVotes.com. Election workers at the vote center can also provide guidance based on state requirements.

Ballots Available in Four Languages

Harris County provides ballots in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese. Language assistance will also be available as required under election rules.

Sample ballots can help voters review the contests before arriving. Ballot contents may vary depending on the voter’s registered address, even when voting at a countywide location.

By opening Shell Energy Stadium for Election Day, the venue will provide another accessible option for the Houston community. Harris County voters can confirm their registration and review voting information before polls open Tuesday.
