Houston residents have several ways to save while celebrating Independence Day this weekend. These July 4th deals Houston diners and families should know include food specials, freebies, and local events tied to America’s 250th anniversary.
July 4th Deals Houston Diners Can Find
Several Houston restaurants are offering holiday menus and one-day specials.
Feges BBQ in Spring Branch will serve its full menu from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will also offer a Fourth of July board made to feed four people for $70, according to CultureMap Houston.
Tacodeli’s three Houston-area locations will sell select breakfast tacos for $2.50 until 3 p.m. Choices include bacon, egg and cheese, bean and cheese, and other favorites.
Little Woodrow’s will offer select drafts for $2.50 all day. The bar also recently added Hot American Sliders and a spiked cherry limeade for the holiday weekend.
Freebies and National Chain Specials
Several national chains with Houston-area locations are also joining the holiday deals.
Krispy Kreme is offering one free Original Glazed doughnut on July 4 to customers who wear red, white, and blue at participating shops. The chain is also selling a patriotic Fourth of July doughnut collection.
Burger King Royal Perks members can get a Whopper Jr. for $2.50 on July 4 only through the BK app or BK.com. The offer is limited to participating locations.
Sonic’s America $2.50 Menu runs through July 12 at participating locations. The menu includes a Red, White & Blue Slush Float, Jr. Double Cheeseburger, All-American Dog, and medium onion rings.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is offering catering discounts from July 2 through July 5. Customers can use code FIREWORKS for $5 off orders of $25 or more, or JULY1776 for $15 off orders of $75 or more.
Holiday Dining and Fireworks Views
Some Houston restaurants are pairing food with holiday entertainment.
Brennan’s of Houston will host an All-American Bluegrass Brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The restaurant will serve an a la carte brunch menu, and reservations are recommended.
The Branch at Forme will host a July 4 party with an open bar, passed appetizers, live music, and fireworks views from a 12th-floor pool deck. Tickets are $125, and the event begins at 6 p.m.
Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House in San Leon will host its annual waterfront celebration. The event includes live music, carnival games, performers, face painting, drink specials, and fireworks over the water.
Freedom Over Texas Returns Downtown
The City of Houston’s Freedom Over Texas celebration returns Saturday, July 4, at Eleanor Tinsley and Sam Houston parks. The event runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. and features Keith Urban, Collective Soul, and Los Lonely Boys.
The city says the event will include Fútbol Park, Liberty Park, a Kids Zone, and a fireworks finale. Paid parking will be available at the Hobby Center garage and Theater District garages.
