Walmart has launched a new Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus bundle for $120 a year. The combined plan became available nationwide on Oct. 20. It costs $98 less than purchasing both annual memberships separately.
What the Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus Bundle Includes
The bundle combines two full memberships under one annual price. Walmart+ normally costs $98 per year, while Sam’s Club Plus costs $120.
Members retain separate Walmart and Sam’s Club accounts. However, the accounts must be linked to activate all available benefits.
Walmart+ benefits include free shipping on eligible Walmart orders with no order minimum. Members also receive free scheduled store delivery on eligible orders of at least $35.
The plan offers fuel discounts of 10 cents per gallon at participating Walmart, Murphy USA, Exxon, Mobil and CITGO stations. Members can also select an eligible streaming plan from Peacock or Paramount+.
Other Walmart+ benefits include prescription delivery, certain travel rewards and access to virtual veterinary services. Terms and availability vary by service and location.
Sam’s Club Plus Benefits Remain Available
The Sam’s Club portion provides access to more than 600 clubs across the United States and Puerto Rico. Members receive warehouse pricing, early shopping hours and access to Scan & Go checkout.
Sam’s Club Plus members can earn 2% in Sam’s Cash on qualifying purchases. Earnings are capped at $750 per year.
The membership also includes free curbside pickup and earlier pickup windows. Free standard club delivery and ground shipping are available on qualifying orders of at least $50. An $8 fee applies below that amount.
Additional benefits include eligible tire installation offers and savings at participating optical centers. Members can also access Sam’s Club fuel prices at participating locations.
Existing Members Have Several Upgrade Options
New customers can enroll in the Walmart+ and Sam’s Club Plus bundle for $120, plus applicable taxes. Walmart said the plan is available only as an annual membership. It does not include a free trial.
Existing annual Walmart+ members can switch to the bundle for an additional $22 per year. Standard Sam’s Club members can upgrade to Sam’s Club Plus for $60 and receive Walmart+.
Current Sam’s Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ at no added cost. Customers already paying for both services can link their accounts. Most qualifying members will receive a prorated Walmart+ refund, according to the company.
Members can enroll, upgrade or link their accounts through the Walmart or Sam’s Club mobile apps. Enrollment is also available through Walmart’s membership website.
Walmart Expands Its Membership Strategy
The rollout comes before the holiday shopping season, when households often increase spending on groceries and gifts. Budget-conscious shoppers have also placed greater emphasis on discounts, delivery and warehouse pricing.
Walmart President and CEO John Furner said the company wants its memberships to deliver more savings and convenience. The retailer does not expect the new pricing structure to materially affect its current quarterly or annual financial guidance.
The combined membership may provide value for households that regularly shop at both retailers. However, consumers should compare delivery minimums, nearby club access and expected fuel savings before enrolling. Full terms are available through the Walmart Help Center.
