Hear Free Jazz at Miller Outdoor Theatre
Houston saxophonist Jason Hainsworth and New Jazz Underground share the stage Friday at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The DACAMERA double bill begins at 8 p.m.
Admission is free. Tickets are required for covered seating, while the hill remains open without tickets. Guests can bring blankets or chairs for the outdoor performance.
See Grupo Duelo at Toyota Center
Grupo Duelo brings its Gravedad Tour 2026 to Toyota Center for three shows. Performances begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Sunday concert starts at 7 p.m.
The Texas-based group has built a loyal audience with romantic norteño music. The Houston shows feature a new stage production developed for the tour.
Catch Eslabon Armado at 713 Music Hall
Mexican American group Eslabon Armado performs Saturday at 713 Music Hall. The band’s Amor Nocturno stop begins at 8 p.m.

Watch the Astros Face the Athletics
The Houston Astros host the Athletics throughout the weekend at Daikin Park. Friday’s game begins at 7:10 p.m., followed by Saturday’s matchup at 6:10 p.m.

Experience Theater and Dance at MATCH
The Garden Theatre presents “Xanadu” at 8 p.m. Friday at Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston. The roller-skating musical comedy features songs by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar.

Visit Mythical Realms at the Houston Zoo
The Houston Zoo’s Mythical Realms experience features more than 60 life-size animatronic creatures. Dragons and other legendary figures appear throughout the seasonal attraction.
The zoo also concludes its Back to School celebration Sunday. Weekend hours are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nonmembers need timed reservations, according to the Houston Zoo.
Try Bilingual Yoga and Family Art at MFAH
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, hosts bilingual yoga Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon. A family art-making studio follows from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
