Margaritaville Day of Service Supports Young North Houston Musicians

0

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe | Houston is supporting local music education through its annual Margaritaville Day of Service campaign. Resort stays booked through Sept. 27 will benefit The Jazz Connection, a Montgomery County nonprofit serving young musicians across North Houston.

The campaign includes Jimmy Buffett Day on Sept. 4 and continues through Labor Day weekend. Guests can access discounted accommodations, resort credits, commemorative cups and special entertainment while contributing to the organization.

Margaritaville Day of Service Benefits The Jazz Connection

The Jazz Connection provides free jazz and music education to students throughout the North Houston area. Its programs help aspiring performers develop their skills, gain experience and share their talents with the community.

For every eligible night booked at the resort, $5 will go toward the nonprofit’s work. The donation connects a popular Lake Conroe getaway with educational opportunities for the region’s next generation of musicians.

The resort’s campaign is part of a broader brand initiative benefiting Singing for Change. Jimmy Buffett founded the nonprofit in 1995 to support grassroots organizations working toward stronger and healthier communities.

Singing for Change supports programs centered on personal growth, community participation and positive social change. Margaritaville properties mark the annual day of service by partnering with organizations that reflect those goals.

Labor Day Weekend Brings Music and Specialty Cocktails

The main Labor Day weekend celebration will run from Friday, Sept. 4, through Monday, Sept. 7. Programming will highlight Jimmy Buffett’s music and the relaxed, tropical atmosphere associated with Margaritaville.

Bama Breeze Sounds will perform Saturday, Sept. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. The live performance will celebrate the music and spirit that inspired the resort brand.

Two specialty cocktails will also be offered for Jimmy Buffett Day. The Sunshine State of Mind combines light rum, lemon vodka, strawberry purée and lemonade.
