Disneyland Resort marked a major milestone on July 3, 2026, by welcoming its honorary one billionth guest at Disneyland Park. The moment came as the Anaheim resort continues its 70th Celebration and as the United States prepares for its 250th anniversary.
The Disneyland one billionth guest was 8-year-old Andres Robles of Arizona, who visited the park with his parents, Alejandra and Jose Robles. The family took part in a special ceremony on Main Street, U.S.A., alongside Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

The Robles family helped unveil an updated Disneyland Park sign reading “Population 1,000,000,000.” The ceremony took place at the Main Street, U.S.A., train station platform.
Andres Robles was also celebrating his 8th birthday during the visit. The milestone turned a family trip into a historic moment for one of the world’s most recognized theme parks.
As part of the celebration, the family received a VIP tour guide for the day. Their experience included a tour of Walt Disney’s private apartment, a visit to the newly opened Soarin’ Across America attraction, and other special Disneyland Resort experiences.

A Milestone for Walt Disney’s Original Park
Disneyland Park opened on July 17, 1955. Walt Disney described his vision as a place where parents and children could have fun together.
More than 70 years later, Disneyland Resort continues to build on that original idea. The park helped shape the modern theme park industry through immersive design, detailed storytelling, and family-focused entertainment.
Disneyland has become a destination for birthdays, vacations, reunions, anniversaries, and family traditions. The one billionth guest milestone reflects decades of visits from generations of families.
Jill Estorino, President of Disneyland Resort, called the moment “a remarkable milestone” and said it reflects the generations of guests who have made the resort part of their lives.
“For more than 70 years, Walt’s original park has been a timeless symbol of Disney storytelling, where memories are made and shared,” Estorino said.
Disneyland Resort Continues to Grow
Disneyland Resort began as a single theme park in Anaheim, California. Today, it includes Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, three hotels, and the Downtown Disney District.
The resort’s hotels include Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. The resort remains open daily and year-round.
Disneyland also helped inspire Disney theme parks and experiences around the world. Its original model continues to influence entertainment, attractions, guest service, and themed design across the industry.
The resort says its next era will focus on imagination, technology, creativity, and craftsmanship. That approach reflects Walt Disney’s well-known belief that Disneyland would continue to grow as long as imagination remained in the world.
For the Robles family, the visit became more than a birthday celebration. It marked a place in Disneyland history and highlighted the park’s lasting role in family memories.
Guests planning visits can find current ticket, reservation, and park information at Disneyland.com. Theme park admission requires both a valid ticket and a reservation for the same park on the same date.
