Actor John Leguizamo is publicly criticizing Dean Cain after Cain announced he joined U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “help save America” and support President Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
Cain’s Announcement
Cain, best known for playing Clark Kent on ABC’s “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” from 1993 to 1997, revealed in a recruitment-style video on X that he had signed up with ICE. He praised the agency’s mission, benefits, and $50,000 signing bonus, encouraging others to join. Cain, 59, said no college degree was needed and urged viewers to help “remove the worst of the worst” from America’s streets.
Leguizamo’s Sharp Response
The “Ice Age” star fired back in an Instagram video, calling Cain a “moron” and joking that his “pronouns are has/been.” Leguizamo later shared a fake DVD cover titled “AGED ICE” and quipped, “More like ‘Dean needs a cane.’”
Age Limit Questions
Some questioned Cain’s eligibility, noting ICE’s maximum recruitment age is 37. Cain replied that the rule might change, and DHS later confirmed the age limit was waived for new applicants. Cain is expected to be sworn in as an honorary ICE officer in the coming month.
National Recruitment Push
Cain’s endorsement comes as DHS launches its “Defend the Homeland” campaign to hire 10,000 new ICE agents, funded through Trump’s latest budget bill.
