Texas Monthly Taco Fest arrives at Discovery Green on Saturday, July 25. The event celebrates some of the best tacos in Texas with restaurants featured on Texas Monthly’s taco lists.
The festival is scheduled for the evening at Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney St. Tickets start at $60, according to Visit Houston. Discovery Green says guests can expect tacos, culture and live music while supplies last.
National Tequila Day celebrations also continue at several Houston restaurants. The Houston Chronicle reported that restaurants across the area are offering margarita specials, tequila flights and themed cocktails through the weekend.
Big Concerts Across Houston
Music fans have several strong options this weekend. A.R. Rahman performs with the Houston Symphony at Jones Hall on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m.
The Houston Symphony describes the concert as a genre-spanning program featuring Rahman’s work across Eastern classical music, pop, world music and film. Rahman is widely known for his Oscar-winning music from “Slumdog Millionaire.”
