NEW CANEY, Texas (KTRK) — Officials said a 63-year-old man has been arrested and charged after being found in a 13-year-old’s bedroom on April 21, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies with the MCSO East Patrol were dispatched to a home in the 21400 block of Dallas Street after someone called police following a disturbance between a homeowner and the suspect.
Officials said the homeowner arrived home and noticed an unfamiliar car in the driveway.

When the man went inside the home, officials said he found the suspect, identified as Miguel Navarrette, in his daughter’s room.
An investigation revealed that Navarrette first met the teen at church in the Houston area and met up solely to have sex with her, MCSO said.
Navarrette was detained and taken to the Montgomery County Jail and was booked on a charge of sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony, officials said.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have been a victim or who knows of any additional victims on Navarrette to come forward. If so, MCSO says contact their main office at 936-538-5900.
