HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It’ll be another cool and clear morning, but Wednesday morning won’t be as chilly as St. Patrick’s Day. Instead of a low near freezing, we’ll end up with a low in the mid 40s, which is still about 10 degrees below average.
An abundance of sunshine will warm the air quickly, and we’ll spend the afternoon in the 70s.
How much longer will the cold air stick around?
Not long at all. We’ll still have lows in the 50s Thursday and Friday mornings, but by Friday afternoon we’re challenging record highs near 90.
What’s in store for the weekend?
Our atmosphere will continue to challenge record highs near 90 degrees. This is part of a larger early-season heatwave over the Desert Southwest that will torch those states with several days of triple digit heat. The sinking air under this heat dome will keep our sky mainly sunny with zero chance of rain.
Are we expecting any more frosty mornings or light freezes before summer?
It will be very difficult to get temperatures down into frost territory again on this side of summer, but it cannot be 100% ruled out for the end of March and early April.

In the heart of Houston, Sisu Body and Post Op is redefining post-operative care with a unique blend of science, expertise, and luxury. Founded by Veronica Morales, this award-winning spa specializes in post-op treatments and lymphatic drainage, creating a sanctuary where healing meets elegance.
Morales’ vision was clear: to provide a safe, professional, and compassionate space for recovery. “I founded Sisu because I saw how many people struggled during their post-op journey without proper guidance or care,” she shares. “I wanted clients to feel supported, understood, and truly cared for.”
Her journey into the industry was deeply personal. “Working closely with post-op patients showed me how essential proper lymphatic care is – not only physically, but emotionally. I realized this was my calling: to help people recover with compassion, knowledge, and dignity.”
The name Sisu reflects that mission. “Sisu means strength, resilience, and courage – qualities every client embodies when they choose healing,” Veronica explains.
Why Lymphatic Care Matters
“The lymphatic system is the foundation of recovery,” Morales emphasizes. “When supported correctly, inflammation decreases, results improve, and the body heals faster and safer.” She also clears up a common misconception: “Not all massages are lymphatic. True lymphatic drainage is a specialized technique requiring certification and knowledge of post-surgical anatomy.”
Empowering Clients
Healing is teamwork, Veronica says. “Consistency with sessions, hydration, protein intake, rest, and following medical advice make a huge difference. Small habits – like walking, deep breathing, and avoiding tight clothing – create big change.”
What Sets Sisu Apart
Trusted by more than 15 doctors, Sisu combines expertise with heart. “We offer safe, honest, and personalized care. The most rewarding part? Seeing clients regain confidence and peace after surgery.”
At Sisu Body and Post Op, recovery isn’t just a process – it’s a journey of resilience and renewal.
If you’re preparing for surgery – or know someone who is – reach out to the experts at Sisu Body and Post Op for guidance and care. You can connect with their team at 832-797-9728 to learn more about how they can support your recovery journey.

The special features an in-depth conversation between Cyrus and Alex Cooper of the Call Her Daddy podcast. The interview promises candid moments, including playful reflections on her Disney-era crushes.
Family also plays a central role. Cyrus shares emotional scenes with her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, adding a personal layer to the celebration.
A Nostalgic Tribute
Described as a “love letter to fans,” the special highlights the cultural impact of Hannah Montana and its lasting legacy. Ahead of the premiere, viewers can revisit all four seasons of the series, along with the film and concert special, now streaming on Disney+.
For longtime fans, it’s a full-circle moment—bringing “the best of both worlds” back to life.
The UFW said it does not have firsthand knowledge of the accusations but described them as “deeply troubling” and serious enough to warrant further action. The organization plans to create a confidential, independent channel for individuals to share experiences and seek support.
Similarly, the Cesar Chavez Foundation said it was “shocked and saddened” by the allegations and is working with farmworker movement leaders to respond and support anyone potentially affected.
Events Canceled Ahead of César Chávez Day
The allegations emerge just weeks before Cesar Chavez Day on March 31. In response, the UFW announced it will not participate in related events, and some cities, including San Antonio, have already canceled planned commemorations.
Legacy Under Scrutiny
Chávez, who died in 1993, remains a central figure in the fight for farmworker and immigrant rights. His leadership in strikes and boycotts helped improve wages and working conditions across the U.S. agricultural sector.
Now, decades after his death, these allegations are prompting renewed scrutiny of his legacy, as organizations emphasize accountability, transparency, and support for those who may have been harmed.
Dune: Part Three’s first trailer teases a darker, more intimate endgame for Paul Atreides while setting up Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah for a December 2026 release.
Trailer release and rollout
Before the drop, the studio-built hype with a wave of new character posters across social media, all carrying the tagline “The epic conclusion.” As a result, early industry screenings of the trailer have generated strongly positive first reactions. Critics praise the scale and say the film pushes the story into riskier, more personal territory.
Story hints and time jump
The film draws heavily from Dune Messiah. It picks up after Paul has overthrown the Emperor and taken the Lion Throne as ruler of the Known Universe. In the new footage, the trailer leans into the consequences of that victory. It hints at the jihad waged in Paul’s name and the political backlash to his messianic status. Moreover, footage shown to press suggests a substantial time jump from Dune: Part Two. This aligns with reports that Villeneuve is exploring Paul as a more haunted, morally compromised figure.
Returning and new characters
The marketing emphasizes the returning core cast. Timothée Chalamet plays Paul Atreides, Zendaya returns as Chani, Florence Pugh appears as Princess Irulan, Javier Bardem is back as Stilgar, and Anya Taylor‑Joy joins as Alia Atreides. In addition, character posters confirm the comeback of Jason Momoa’s Duncan Idaho, now in ghola form. They also highlight Rebecca Ferguson’s Lady Jessica, whose expanded presence suggests deviations from the novel, where she appears only briefly. On top of that, new faces include Isaach de Bankolé as Farok and Robert Pattinson as the shape‑shifting Bene Tleilaxu agent Scytale. Together, these elements position Pattinson as a key antagonist in the trailer’s imagery.
Visual tone and themes
According to attendees at early trailer screenings, the footage balances sweeping desert vistas and massive battles with a more somber, paranoid tone. For example, visuals of Fremen fanatics, crowded imperial courts, and Paul isolated amid adoring crowds underline the central theme. This theme is the terrifying cost of turning a prophet into a political weapon. In the final moments, the trailer reportedly frames Dune: Part Three less as a simple finale and more as a tragic reckoning for the hero that previous films appeared to coronate.
Release date and trilogy context
Warner Bros currently has Dune: Part Three slated for theatrical release on December 18, 2026. Villeneuve has long described this movie, his take on Dune Messiah, as the endpoint of his Paul Atreides cycle. Consequently, it transforms his Dune saga into a three‑film epic. With production completed in late 2025 and Hans Zimmer returning to score, the new trailer now marks the start of a lengthy and carefully staged final marketing campaign for the franchise.

Clothing that is not appropriate for the HLSR Show grounds includes, but is not limited to, clothing with objectionable material (including obscene language or graphics), excessively torn cloth, visible undergarments, and/or clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.

A full list of attire prohibitions and more is listed in the document below.
Visitors can review the full Guest Code of Conduct online at RODEOHOUSTON.com, according to a release from HLSR.
Visitors to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo can learn more about agriculture and horticulture at Agventure, an educational exhibit inside NRG Center. The exhibit runs through March 22 and offers hands-on learning opportunities about farming, gardening and the environment.
At the exhibit, Harris County Master GardenerIvonne Zaldivar shares tips with visitors about gardening, native plants and the importance of pollinators.
Native plants’ resiliency
“We just want people to help themselves get some information and educate themselves about all our native plants and what they can grow in their backyard,” Zaldivar said.

Ramirez explained that native plants are species naturally adapted to the local climate and soil conditions.
“Native plants are any plants that thrive in our environment,” she said. “Houston has a very harsh climate. We either have a very hot sun or a very tough winter. Our native plants usually thrive in our types of environments and our soils, and they always come back year after year.”
Because of their resilience, Ramirez said many native plants can be a good option for beginners, especially those interested in supporting pollinators.
Native plants for beginner gardeners
“Native plants for beginners — it depends on what you want to do,” she said. “If you want to try pollinators, I would go with some Turk’s cap, probably some Texas sage. There are other types of sage as well — maybe some primrose, some bluebonnets.”

Several native flowering plants that grow well in the Houston area and attract pollinators include Turk’s cap, Texas sage, Texas lantana, evening primrose, Texas bluebonnets, firewheel or Indian blanket (Gaillardia pulchella), black-eyed Susans and purple coneflowers. These plants provide nectar and habitat for bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
Ramirez noted that many native plants are beginner-friendly because they often return year after year either on their own or through self-seeding.
“Perennial natives usually come back every year,” Zaldivar said. “You just have to basically prune them at the end of the season, and right in spring they usually come back.”
Yellow black-eyed susan and Indian blanket wildflowers are captured in this photo.
Supporting the vital role of pollinators
She also emphasized the vital role pollinators play in the ecosystem and food supply.
“Without our pollinators, we wouldn’t be able to grow any food,” she said. “They’re very small. We have the bees, we have the butterflies, we have moths, and I think we need to focus on all pollinators and not just one.”
In addition to native plants, other popular flowers that tend to perform well in Houston’s climate include zinnias, cosmos, lantana and salvia, which can add color to gardens while supporting pollinators.
For people preparing their gardens this spring, Ramirez said getting started can be simple.
Ready, set, and plant this spring
“What you can start doing is go to your local home garden,” she said. “Get your native plants, get some mulch, and just plant them in the ground right now.”
Agventure gives rodeo visitors a chance to connect with master gardeners while learning practical ways to support local ecosystems from their own backyards.
CONROE, Texas (KTRK) — Two women were killed after authorities said a man crashed his truck and opened fire into a Conroe-area home on Monday.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 300 block of Shoreview Drive near Cut and Shoot for a deadly shooting.
Sheriff Wesley Doolittle said the department received a 911 call at about 2 p.m. on Monday from an estranged wife who said her husband had crashed his vehicle into the home and was coming in.
Doolittle said the suspect, identified as 57-year-old Stanley Hardin, then entered the home and fired multiple gunshots, hitting and killing a 50-year-old woman and an 80-year-old woman, who officials believe to be Hardin’s wife and mother-in-law.
The suspect then fled the scene and went to his son’s home, then to his own home on Ivy Drive about 5 miles away, according to officials, who said that was where he surrendered to law enforcement.
Neighbors shared photos of the surrender and the law enforcement response, which included SWAT officers, because they were concerned about more violence.
Hardin will be charged with capital murder, according to Doolittle.
Neighbors said they had seen the wife as recently as last week. They have adult children, and he is a disabled veteran.
Doolittle said the husband and wife were recently estranged, which can often be a volatile and sometimes deadly time.
“When there is high emotion, people are ending relationships and such, I would tell folks to contact the Montgomery County Women’s shelter if they believe they are in danger,” Doolittle said.
The investigation is still ongoing.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Freeze Warning is in effect until 9 am Tuesday north of Houston as temperatures could briefly dip down into light freeze territory.
The freeze is mostly likely to occur outside the urban heat island of Houston, especially north of I-10. It would be wise to protect any cold-sensitive plants like tropical varieties or vegetable seedlings as just 1-2 hours of freezing temperatures can cause significant damage. The air now looks to be too dry for any significant frost to form. Sunshine will rapidly warm the dry air Tuesday with temperatures in the 50s by noon and warming into the 60s for afternoon highs.
How long will the cold air stick around?
Not long at all. Highs and lows will warm about 10 degrees each day between Wednesday and Thursday, leaving us in record high territory for the weekend as temperatures surge toward 90 degrees!
Are we expecting any more frosty mornings or light freeze before summer?
It will be very difficult to get temperatures down into frost territory again after Tuesday morning, but it cannot be 100% ruled out for the end of March and early April.
