Daniel Jones delivered a near-flawless performance in his first game with the Indianapolis Colts, leading the team to a dominant 33-8 win over the Miami Dolphins. The victory snapped a nine-year streak of Week 1 losses for Indianapolis.

Perfect Efficiency on Offense

The Colts scored on all seven of their offensive possessions. According to NFL Network, no quarterback this century had previously led a team to points on every drive in a game. Indianapolis also outgained Miami 418-211.

Stats That Stand Out

Jones completed 22 of 29 passes (75.9%) for 272 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions, finishing with a 115.9 passer rating. He added seven carries for 26 yards and two rushing touchdowns, marking only the fourth time in his career he’s scored twice on the ground.

Clean and Secure Play

Ball security was a major factor in the win. Jones avoided turnovers entirely, helping Indianapolis win the turnover battle 3-0. It was just the 19th time in his 71-game career that he finished without an interception or fumble.
