Epstein Schedules Reveal High-Profile Names

Newly released documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate include draft schedules listing meetings with Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Peter Thiel, and Steve Bannon. The notes, made public Friday by House Oversight Committee Democrats, do not contain accusations of wrongdoing.

Mentions of Elon Musk

A December 6, 2014, entry notes a possible trip for Musk to “an island,” though it questions if the visit would happen. Musk has said Epstein repeatedly invited him to his private island but that he declined. He previously visited Epstein’s Manhattan home once with his then-wife, saying he observed only “weird art.”

Breakfast With Bill Gates

The day before, December 5, 2014, Epstein had a tentative breakfast scheduled with Gates. Gates has acknowledged meeting Epstein several times, calling those interactions “a huge mistake” and saying he had hoped—unsuccessfully—that the connection might benefit his global health philanthropy.

Meetings With Peter Thiel

A November 27, 2017, note shows a planned lunch with investor Peter Thiel in New York. Epstein reportedly sought multiple meetings with Thiel during the mid-2010s. Thiel has described Epstein as “a crazed networker and low on substance.”

Regular Contact With Steve Bannon

Epstein’s calendar also listed a February 2019 breakfast with former White House strategist Steve Bannon, just months before Epstein’s arrest. Epstein’s brother has said Bannon attempted to help rehabilitate Epstein’s image after damaging media reports, though Bannon has framed their meetings as part of a documentary project that has never been released.

No Allegations in the Records

The schedules—covering dates after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor—include routine activities such as haircuts and movie screenings alongside high-profile names. Lawmakers emphasized that the documents merely reflect planned meetings and do not imply criminal conduct by those mentioned.
